Minister of Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu said, "Hope is dwindling," and said, "We continue to struggle as if at any moment a living person from the wreckage will be reached." Speaking to NTV, Çavuşoğlu gave information about the work in the wreckage of the Isias Hotel in Adıyaman, where a Turkish Cypriot convoy was also present. Stating that the search and rescue teams from Cyprus pulled 25 people out of the hotel wreckage in 4 days, Çavuşoğlu said, "3 of them were from our own group. One of them was alive, 24 of them lost their lives.” Çavuşoğlu also shared information that it would take a few days to remove the wreckage and said, “We want to take our students no matter what. Families are watching the work 24 hours a day at the beginning of the wreckage,” he said.
